About Our Product Team
Engineers work alongside our product trio (Product Manager, UX Designer, Lead Discovery Engineer) to understand the needs of our customers and collaborate closely through the entire value pipeline—from concept to development to delivery. Using the continuous discovery+delivery model, we deliver high-impact solutions to our customers on a daily cadence. Each member of the team is empowered to engage the big picture, bring their ideas to bear on tough problems, and experience the satisfaction of having a palpable impact on the outcomes of the team.
We currently develop our web app using React, TypeScript, Java, Dropwizard, Redis, Postgres, Docker, AWS cloud hosting, and other contemporary technologies. Experience in or desire and ability to learn this technology is valued.
About this role:
This is a full-time, permanent, exempt position reporting to the LivePlan team Engineering Manager. Starting salary ranges from $100,000-$135,000 depending on experience.

- Collaborating and communicating proactively with engineers, the product trio, and other teams to ensure that the work you are doing creates value.
- Regularly attending LivePlan training and customer research calls in order to achieve and maintain an understanding of the LivePlan business planning method our software is built for, as well as maintaining an understanding of who our users are and the problems they need us to help them solve.
- Forming opinions on how the LivePlan app architecture can be improved to deliver value more quickly and efficiently, and sharing those opinions and potential solutions with the team.
- Consistently contributing to a safe and supportive team environment by bringing your whole self to work, sharing thoughts candidly, and investing in strong professional relationships that enable collaboration and risk-taking.

Education, experience, & skills required:
- 3+ years experience developing customer-facing web apps in a professional environment
- Awareness of current best practices in modern web app development
- Awareness of the fundamentals of web application security
Education, experience & skills preferred:
- A focus and passion for front-end engineering, while also being able to handle full-stack tasks
- An interest in using AI to develop product features and improve engineering productivity
- Proficiency in two or more of the technologies in our stack:
- React
